My journey from a busy mind to finding balance
I’m originally French but also British, and I’ve called London home for over 15 years with my husband and two teenage boys.
I hold a Master’s in Applied Mathematics and started my career as a data scientist in Paris and then London. While I loved the challenges of my work, life took a new turn after I became a mother. The responsibilities of parenting, work, and managing a household away from my family began to overwhelm my mind. Stress, poor nutrition and lack of sleep took a toll on my health.
When COVID-19 hit, the uncertainty deepened my mental load, and I realised I was unfulfilled in my career. I decided to retrain as a nutritional therapist to address my own challenges and pursue a more meaningful career. After 3 years of study at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London, I graduated with distinction in February 2024.
This journey helped me manage my busy mind and gave me the tools to improve my health. I discovered how nutrition and lifestyle changes could boost my energy, calm my mind and bring balance to my life. While life still gets busy, I now have the tools to manage it.
Now, I’m passionate about helping others improve their brain, body, and mind health through nutrition and lifestyle changes, so they can thrive today and tomorrow.
Balance through food and hobbies
My journey has not only deepened my understanding of nutrition but also fuelled my passion for food and its role in overall well-being. Alongside this, I’ve rediscovered the importance of hobbies in finding balance and taking time for myself.
A passion for food
My love for food stems from my childhood in France, where homemade, fresh meals were the norm. Those moments around the dinner table created lasting memories and taught me the value of good food.
Now, as I've grown, I've come to realise that these homemade meals not only bring us together socially but also contribute to our overall health. It's amazing how something as simple as sharing a meal can nourish both our bodies and our relationships.
Today, cooking holds a special place in my life. I enjoy exploring new recipes and cooking techniques, sharing these culinary adventures with my family to instill curiosity and a love for wholesome food in my children. Through my passion for cooking and nutrition, I aim to inspire healthy eating habits in those around me.
My hobbies
A healthy lifestyle goes beyond just nutrition. Engaging in hobbies and physical activities can greatly contribute to your overall wellbeing. Whether it's gardening, hiking, or painting, finding time for your passions can help reduce stress and provide a sense of accomplishment, improving mental health.
Recognising this, I prioritise making time for my own hobbies, including knitting, drawing or crafting natural soaps and cosmetics. I also enjoy staying active with pilates and walking.
I'm passionate about learning new things and challenging myself. That's why I've recently started to learn crochet, which has been a fun and rewarding experience. Engaging in activities like solving crosswords and playing board games with my family stimulate cognitive functions and keep my brain active!
